Notes: After a year hiatus, Carton Brewing is bringing back their beloved winter warmer, Decoy. If you don’t know about this beer, there is a nice informational video about it below. Basically it is inspired by a dish from world renowned chef, Daniel Huhm at 11 Madison Park in Manhattan. This high gravity ale features the same spices he uses for his roasted duck dish. The beer features, coriander, sichuan pepper corns, cumin, coriander, lavender flowers as well as honey. It’s a fantastic ale and best sipped by the fire or paired with your favorite meat dish for the season. While it may be tough for you to get a table at the restaurant and eat the duck, it’ll probably be easier to grab a few cans from the brewery and enjoyed with friends and family. Happy Holidays.
