TAP-NY 2016
It is hands down one of the best festivals around if you are local to the Hudson Valley. Hell, even if you aren’t you owe it to yourself as beer drinker to make your pilgrimage to TAP-NY. This year over 100 breweries from all over the empire state attended this years festivals. Breweries from NYC, Long Island, Western New York and even New Jersey had their chance to share their brews with the masses. Lets dive in and check out the biggest TAP yet.
As I said above this is a festival attending no matter where you are coming from. The food, the beers and the atmosphere make it a great way to ring in the spring. The dates are already set for next year so make your plans now. Thanks to Hunter Mountain for having us out on this lovely day. See you next year.

COMMON ROOTS COFFEE CUP
MAKER: Common Roots Brewing – Glens Falls, New York
STYLE: Stout
ABV: 9%
NOTES: Common Roots is located just near the Vermont border in upstate New York. Focusing on ales and a few sour beers, they are making quite a name for themselves in the NY beer scene. Upon a recent trip I was gifted a bottle from owner, Christian Weber. That bottle was their recent coffee stout with local roaster, Spektor, located right in Glens Falls. The beer is great and with so many coffee beers done improperly, it’s great to see Christian and the gang turn out something fun and flavorful. Keep up the good work, see you soon.
