There are some session beers that are just mind blowing, and I’m not even talking about IPA’s. Here we have a beer from Maine, that is so dank, crispy, and refreshing, that it is up there as one of my favorite sessions, along with Carton Boat, and Daytime from Lagunitas. That beer is Maine Island Trail Ale from Rising Tide. Continue reading “RISING TIDE MAINE ISLAND TRAIL ALE”
EPIC BREWING COMPANY ESCAPE TO COLORADO
I must say I am a pretty big Epic fan. Their beers are tasty and despite the Mormon constraints of Utah, the brewery has found a second home in the great state of Colorado, turning out some of the best beer in the country. Epic recently released their first canned offering and a brew they made upon arriving in the centennial state. Continue reading “EPIC BREWING COMPANY ESCAPE TO COLORADO”
A FEW FROM FINCHS BEER COMPANY
So we have touched on Half Acre and Two Brothers here at I Drink Good Beer but there is just one Chicago brewery left that we would like to highlight before the year is out and that brewery is Finch’s Beer Company. Finch’s Beer Company was started for the sheer fact that Owner Ben Finch wanted to supply the drinkers of Chicago with easy drinking brews, gateway beers if you will. Upon a recent venture to Brooklyn in NYC I took a trip to Bierkraft to sit down and have a few pints. I also had some packaged goods on the mind. Bierkraft has an awesome selection of bottles to grab out of their cold cases and sometimes decisions can be tough. There are bottles and cans from around the world; common beers, rare beers, and weird beers fill the cases and shelves, essentially a liquid Mecca for any beer nerd out there. HALF ACRE DAISY CUTTER
The Midwest seems to be on the come up with some more than exceptional brews. Except for the now macro owned Goose Island, we see very few beers from around that way on the East Coast. One of our team members just spent some time in the Windy City and had nothing but praises to sing about the city and of course the growing beer scene. One beer that stood out amongs them all was Daisy Cutter Pale Ale from Half Acre Brewing. Continue reading “HALF ACRE DAISY CUTTER”
