YES WE CAN WITH CARTON BREWING COMPANY

Following up on the written article from two weeks ago we are excited to share the film we did with Carton Brewing and Iron Heart Canning. As you may have read Iron Heart is a mobile canning service that has a gypsy nature to it, they roll in their equipment, hook up to bright tanks and make canning magic. Mobile canning is going to become a fast growing segment for the craft beer industry getting small breweries like Carton Brewing into package way ahead of schedule. All around this is a great project for everyone involved and we were happy to document how it all went down. This is our first canning video and we are proud to have done it with our good friends at Carton and look forward to many pint cans of Boat Beer in the future. Enjoy the film and cheers.

FIRST CANNED CRAFT BEER IN JERSEY

Yesterday I had the pleasure of documenting the canning of the first craft beer in New Jersey with Iron Heart Canning. Iron Heart Canning is a new business venture that provides mobile canning solutions helping small breweries to grow their businesses and offer other mediums of serving their beer besides draft and bottles. A lot of breweries are looking into canning as an option these days, draft only breweries like Carton with the help of companies like Iron Heart are able to can up their beer right at the source with no quality sacrificed. I say this because some breweries contract their canning because they don’t have the space for their own line or just cannot afford the system to do so. EVIL TWIN BREWING HIPSTER ALE

hipster ale 1Hipsters are a breed of creature that tend to elicit mixed responses from the masses – admiration (perhaps), bemusement, even outrage. I for one believe there is a little hipster in all of us. Any time you have ever protested or refused conform to the norm, is in fact an out-flowing of your inner hipster essence. That’s science. Upon a recent venture to Brooklyn in NYC I took a trip to Bierkraft to sit down and have a few pints. I also had some packaged goods on the mind. Bierkraft has an awesome selection of bottles to grab out of their cold cases and sometimes decisions can be tough. There are bottles and cans from around the world; common beers, rare beers, and weird beers fill the cases and shelves, essentially a liquid Mecca for any beer nerd out there. What is the first thing that you think of when you hear Orlando Florida? You might think about Disney Land, Universal Studios or that it is hot as hell most year there but do you ever think about craft beer? I don’t know about you but when I travel around the country the number one thing on my radar, no matter where I go, is craft beer. No to far away from the highly flooded tourist section from Orlando is a strip of highway called East Colonial Boulevard that is home to numerous eateries and bars but there is one bar that stands out from them all and that is Oblivion Tap Toom. AFFLIGEM POURING RITUAL

I got this neat little piece in the mail the other day from the folks over at Total Beverage Solutions in South Carolina. Announcing their 2nd Annual Affligem Pouring Ritual Contest, Affligem is excited to share this gift with over 100 consumers with an offering for a grand prize trip to Belgium to visit the Affligem brewery. Seeing as we are in the photography game it was a no brainer that we put together this post to the display Affligem beer, the yeast tray that it came with and over all thoughts of the beer.
