HANGER 24 BREWING COMPANY

Our friend from the distant state of California Johnson Liv sent me this awesome flick he put together for Crave Online. It’s a neat piece interviewing founder and brew master of Hanger 24 Brewery, Ben Cook. What I really like about this film is the incorporation of the aviation theme that compliments Hanger 24’s story very well. Enjoy the film as it takes you from from a plane ride around Redlands California to every aspect of Hanger 24’s facility. It’s most certainly not a film to miss.

KANE BREWING COMPANY AT THE CLOVERLEAF

Tap take overs are awesome, usually we see them from some of our more premier craft breweries here in the US but there are times when our own local breweries pull out all the stops and bring out some of the breweries best concoctions. Tuesday night brought us to Cloverleaf Tavern for seventeen taps of Kane Brewing. Kane, a young brewery, has been opened a little more then a year and they sure have been making waves with the beer drinkers of New Jersey. Making every thing from hopped up IPA’s to imperial stouts, and barrel aged Belgians. Michael Kane brought out some of his staples and a lot of rarities that brought drinkers from all over the state. THE TWISTED ELM

A few months back I was searching for some video editing inspiration and came across a fantastic film of a little restaurant called The Twisted Elm Tavern. At first I thought I was watching a video from a place far away until I heard a very familiar name and the face to go with it. I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was Chef Albert Scazafave from the long forgotten South City Grill restaurant group, I then knew that this place was local for me and I had to go.  Not having to deal with the wanna be martini drinkers and craziness of of an upscale restaurant, Chef Al  has helped developed The Twisted Elm into a very comfortable tavern with a great selection of beer and an awesome gastropub menu to go with it. STATION TAP ROOM

Despite having an exuberant amount of chili at Victory the I Drink Good Beer posse was still hungry and I had this great thought stuck in my head thanks to one of the judges I was on the panel with. He spoke of this quaint little spot across from the Downingtown train station that had amazingly fresh food and a stellar beer list that is constantly rotating. To me that sounding like a wonderful way to end our day with a nice meal, good brew and some fresh content for you. Station Taproom opened in 2010 by owner Sean McGettigan with an idea to serve spectacularly fresh food and a nice list of craft beer. Continue reading “STATION TAP ROOM”
