BEER DINNER WITH GARRET OLIVER

Beer dinners are on the rise, it seems like more and more bars and restaurants are putting them on with some of our countries finest craft breweries. Back in December we attended a very special beer dinner at one our favorite restaurants, Mohawk House. I say it was a special beer dinner because the brewery being featured was Brooklyn Brewery. As you all know, their brewmaster Garrett Oliver is world renowned both as a beer maker and author of books such The Brewmasters Table and The Oxford Companion To Beer. He does about 200 beer dinners a year and it was a real treat to sit down and talk with him about the marriage of food and beer. Enjoy this short film as we interview Mohawk House employees Peter Sudol and Executive Chef Ken Salmon as well as Mike Ferry from Brooklyn Brewery and of course Garrett Oliver.

Atlantic City is not really known as a city for craft beer enthusiasts. There are a couple spots to grab a craft beer in AC that have been around for some time, but given the recent renaissance of the craft beer scene in America, the bar and restaurant owners of Atlantic City are realizing the need for quality beers to pair with their outstanding menus. STIBINGER BROTHERS PEOPLES CHOICE II

Stibinger Brothers Beer is becoming a major entity in the craft beer scene here in New Jersey. Although they haven’t begun production, they are still researching, sampling, and marketing to find out what consumer are looking for in a beer product. We have been following the Stibinger Brothers for quite some time. It’s great to see how far they have come from the bottle of home brew I had almost two years ago.
