Since we last visited River Horse for our expansion film, they have been quite busy filling their fermenters full of delicious beer for drinkers in the tri-state area. Since moving, they have brought back their lager game and have started to make smaller batches of other lager beers including a Dunkel Lager and a Pilsner that is in their Brewer’s Reserve series.
I am a huge pilsner fan and already plowing through a case worth of their lager since it dropped, I was very much looking forward to trying this pils on for size. Chris and the gang did a nice job on this one and it is a testiment that they can make both lagers and ales without sacrificing quality or tank space. They have been getting a good reception on both these beers and will continue you to dive into other lager styles as the year goes on. Thanks to head brewer, Chris Rakow for sending us home with a sixer of the this crisp deliciousness, it was a real treat and we hope this could be a year round beer in the future, Cheers.
