Last week we had the chance to sit down with Bob and Andrew and sample their latest bottle release, Razbullied Rye. It’s pretty damn delicious and one to seek out this coming week.
Taking their base rye ale, they let it sit in an oak barrel for nine months with a heap of red raspberries and a brett strain known as The Dirty Dozen from East Coast Yeast.
The brett definitely did its thing. The nose is extremely complex and has all sorts of fruit notes going on. It is also bright and refreshing but you will have to sit and let it warm up to fully experience the beer.
Altogether the beer is amazing and undoubtedly one of Bolero’s best beers yet. With bottles being limited, we don’t see it lasting long on the shelves. Especially once fans get a taste of it. Thanks to Bob and Andrew for a sneak peak and happy hunting to all of you.
