One of our favorite breweries we have visited in recent weeks is Burlington Beer Company. One of the newer breweries on the scene in Vermont, they have been turning out some really good beer with some of the wackiest names we have heard of in a while.
Opening his doors last May. Founder and head brewer, Joe Lemnah, started Burlington Beer Company to get back to his roots and community. With a plethora of experience from places like Dogfish Head and Mercury Brewing. Joe decided Vermont is where he would open his dream brewery.
Only a year in, Burlington Beer is already expanding with a few new 60 barrel fermenters on their way. This will help them ramp up production and ultimately get more of their delicious liquid out to the people.
With a bottling line out of the question. Burlington Beer calls on Iron Heart to come in every two weeks or so to can up some of their beers. Their most recent one, Surfing Waves Of Dopamine, is to die for and one hell of a saison.
Their designer, Steve McDonald, has done an amazing job with the branding here as well.
The tasting room is fun and has a brick road leading you right to the bar. They even have fun games like Jenga and Connect Four for your entertainment pleasures.
Here you can get a flight of all their beers, cans to go and even purchase a skateboard.
Assistant brewer, Alex Swanson pours up some Light In The Window. A juicy Rye IPA that they make year round. Some call it day drinking. We prefer to call it quality control.
Do you like art? You can get that here as well. Working with ONE Arts Collective, Burlington Beer is proud to feature local Vermont artists and their work for sale.
This one was not for sale but still cool none the less.
A big thanks to Joe for having us out. Burlington Beer is doing great things and we cannot wait to see their growth in the coming years. Their staff is amazing and the beers they are making are worth the travel. It is easily some of the best beer in Vermont.
