Cape Cod Beer might not be the most mentioned brewery in Massachusetts but it certainly is one of the best beer makers in the state. Opening its doors twelve years ago. Todd and his crew having been supplying the the cape with delicious and very approachable ales and lagers.
Making around 7,000 barrels a year, the facility can produce up to 14,000.
Not only can they crank out beer but they distribute it themselves. You can always expect someone from the brewery to bring your beer.
Manning the helm at Cape Cod is owner, brewer and all around great guy, Todd Markus. Todd has been making beer up and down the East Coast for about twenty years. Twelve Years ago he started Cape Cod beer to provide his neighbors of the cape with deliciously fresh beer.
Cape Cod recently went through a major expansion adding more fermenters in an adjacent building they call, the cellar.
The cellar is where all of their packaging takes place. Whether it be kegs, bottles or cans.
The tasting room is quite big. With a view of the brew house and first set of fermenters.
If you like the scientific side of brewing. There is a crash course on gravity readings and a list of what is in the fermenters.
Cape Cod is really big on recycling. They will even take your old six pack rings and dispose of them for you.
