There are a few places around the world that as a beer drinker, you must make the pilgrimage. One of those places is Hill Farmstead. Opening it’s doors 2010, Shaun Hill and his team are creating some of the best beer in the country, continuing on hundreds of years of hand crafting tradition. I have been dying to check out this place for years and finally met up with my friend to get a lay of the land. Lets check it out.
This is easily one of the most impressive breweries that I have been too. Their brew house cranks out some of the best pale ales and IPA’s you can get your hands on. Great job BrauKon.
They even have a smaller system that is used for experimenting and head brewer, Ryan Witter-Merithew’s side project, Casita Cerveceria.
No matter what there is always something to take home at Hill Farmstead. Whether you want a growler of hoppy goodness or a bottle of saison. They have something for you.
I love places that don’t except tips and would rather have you support a local cause.
They even have food trucks on site. Shout out to Caja Madera for the decedent brisket laden tortilla.
If you haven’t made your journey yet, you might think about your next beercation being in northern Vermont. Hill Farmstead is a special place and worth the trek to Greensboro. With a friendly staff and plenty of places to rest your beer, it is not something to be missed. Thanks to Mike for having me out and showing me around. I can truly see why people come from all over the world to drink these delicious beers. I cannot wait to come back. Cheers
