Otter Creek has been a craft beer staple for quite some time and holds ground as one of the best breweries in Vermont. We had the pleasure of visiting Brewmaster Mike and the gang a few weeks ago and were quite impressed. The facility is amazing and one of the best breweries we have visited in a while.
One of the biggest beer makers in the state. Otter Creek produces their own beers as well as favorites like; The Shed and Wolavers.
With room limited inside. They started putting tanks outside the brewery. Some of them being as big as 200 barrels. That is a lot of liquid.
As you can imagine from the volume of their fermentation tanks. They go through quite a bit of malt here.
While they bottle and keg almost everything. Some times they call on Iron Heart to packaged up something special.
On this particular day it was a run of Joint Custody. A collaboration beer between Otter Creek and Jack’s Abby. You can get the full scoop on that beer from our recent post here.
After checking out the brewery space. It was time to grab a bite and beer inside their pub. Here you can get some great food, merchandise, six packs and growlers to go.
They offer most beers they make including ones from The Shed and Wolavers.
The food is to die for. This particular flat bread was the perfect mate for a glass of Over Easy.
Being that Otter Creek has been around so long, it was a pleasure visiting this Vermont staple and we highly recommend you pay them a visit as well. A big thanks again to Iron Heart Canning and Brewmaster Mike for having us out. We cannot wait to revisit and have some more tasty beers and delectable food. Cheers.
