There have been many breweries to open within the NYC limits over the past two years and one of the most talked about is Transmitter Brewing. Located in Long Island City, Transmitter is focusing on farmhouse style ales and they have made quite a name for themselves doing so.
We were lucky to get our hands on a bottle of their F1. A golden ale made with brettanomyces.
The label is simple and gives you all you need to know.
Although we found it to be on the malty side, the beer delivers a lot of flavor. It would have been nice to have another bottle to lay down for future reference but hey, it was a pleasure tasting this golden ale and I am sure we will find more in the future.
If you have access to their stuff, it is suggested that you get out there and hunt down a bottle or two. We will be doing to same to bring you more content from this great beer maker. We also hope to pay Transmitter a visit in the coming months so stay tuned.
