My family and I have recently rescued a dog and it is a topic that is near and dear to my heart. I am happy to finally sit down and write a few words for the good folks at Weyerbacher about this fantastic IPA. Shelters fill up all over the country with dogs, cats and other animals on a daily basis. In The United States there is no national or government run organization that provides oversight to the various shelters in each state.
Currently it is estimated that there are approximately 5,000 independently run animal shelters operating nationwide but not all of them receive funding from the government and mostly rely on good Samaritans for their donations. Weyerbacher is one of those good samaritans, donating money from the sale of every last drop of Last Chance IPA. It is awesome to see breweries like Weyerbacher stepping up to the plate and contribute to the solution and I hope others take note of what they are doing. While this replaces one of my favorite Weyerbacher brews, Hop Infusion, I will gladly purchase it’s replacement for the better cause.
