Notes – The first can out of their new brewery, 21st Amendment comes in swinging with this delightful imperial red ale themed after some of the most nutritional snacks you can have for breakfast. Does it taste like a pop tart or toaster struddle? Sort of but that is in the eye of the beholder. I can see it but its certainly not how the beer came across my palate. It was tasty though and would please either the malt or hop head if I were to recommend it. Either which way it was fantastic and all I wanted to do was eat pop tarts with it. You might see a follow up to this brew with a thorough pastry pairing.

While they have always been around, I’ve seen the tide of session beers rise over the past several years, with more and more breweries turning out flavorful, drinkable beers that you can have a few of without taking the harder hit of a big beer.
